Mapping the Spatial and Temporal Patterns of Bedbug Complaints in New York City

For our final project for Data Librarianship and Management, we looked at NYC Open Data’s data on 311 calls for bedbugs over the course of five years. We utilized Python, Pandas, Folium, Geopandas, and Jupyter Notebooks in tandem with the SODA API to create interactive heat maps showing location clusters of 311 calls over time, both separating each year into its own heatmap and documenting all data at once.
